7. International Label conference

When it comes to the brand’s public face – the label –, experts in the label industry are required to find solutions that confer competitive advantages on brand manufacturers, such as economic efficiency or greater innovation. But how can such solutions be found, and generate success for the label manufacturer, too?

Passion is the key to success in this endeavour. The theme of the 7th international label conference is “Passion for Labels”.

But how is passion expressed? What patterns of behaviour in business make some companies more successful than others?

These topics will be discussed at the Label Conference to be held in Bad Gastein from 15-17 March. Guest speakers include some of the most sought-after cutting edge thinkers in industry and packaging design.

For example, there will be experts representing the field of business and research, such as Dr. Kjell Nordström from the Business Economic School in Stockholm, chosen by Thinkers50 in 2005 as one of the 10 most influential thinkers in the field of business. The author of books such as Karaoke Capitalism and Funky Business will talk at the Label Conference on how to be successful in price wars.

Lars Walentin has a unique reputation as a food packaging designer. The enthusiasm and passion with which he presents his images to illustrate the rules for enabling packages to communicate with the customer and prompt customers to respond and buy, illustrate how passion brings competitive advantage.

Speakers from the international beverages industry will set out the requirements they would like label manufacturers to meet.

The economic and innovative potential of wet glue labels cannot be fully covered from any single viewpoint, so there will also be panel discussions on solutions exploring systemic possibilities.

Results of recent studies on the subject of wet glue labelling and label materials will undoubtedly be covered in conversations in the informal supporting programme.

The International Label Conference organized by Brigl & Bergmeister GmbH is held only every 2½ years. The organizers seek to trace the latest trends in this industry worldwide, and summarize them for all those involved in the delivery chain.
