Fascinating paper labels

Experience, behaviour, awareness

15. - 17. 10. 2008, Bad Hofgastein

Brand-new study on the
image of paper labels to be presented …

Many printers and label users can confirm the great impact of label material on technical application and efficient processing. The strength of brand impact has not been examined to date, however.

At this year’s label conference, based on the results of a brand-new study, the effect of the material’s image will be presented. The study’s findings will reveal to marketing and design experts new opportunities for more effective brand management.

The crisis and how it affects
consumer behaviour ...

Uncertainty is currently widespread in all markets, with the label industry also bound to suffer setbacks.

Where are the demand drivers for the market, and which companies will be able to hold their ground in this crisis?

Market figures on beverage consumption and packaging trends will be used to analyse the respective main segments of the label business. For experts in the industry, this represents a good opportunity to identify market opportunities for themselves and to position themselves accordingly.

Sustainability is more than
just an environmental issue …

Everyone, be engaged in the label material business, regardless on which end of the supply chain, has to act responsibly. The term corporate social responsibility (CSR) places high demands on companies and management, regardless of the industry concerned.

The call for more transparency in both the management of resources and the honest dealing with the public and consumers will form a key part of corporate communications. A large proportion of the papers will therefore be devoted to this very topic.

Identifying and realising opportunities …

The economic conditions in the label industry have not been easy in recent months and years. Joint efforts are required in order to advance the whole market through new ideas and entrepreneurial thinking. Even though everyone is now preoccupied with continuing in business, strategic concepts are now needed in order to guarantee future successful growth.

The International Label Conference
has been held at regular intervals for 17 years.

Its international focus is demonstrated especially by the presence of participants as well as speakers from all over the world. At this year’s 8th Conference, applications for registration have been received from 28 countries. The around 240 participants registered to date represent the whole supply chain of label manufacture, from label material to printers, to journalists to designers to experts from the branded goods industry, up to and including the plant and label supplying industry.

Like its predecessors, the 8th International Label Conference is an important gathering for the industry in its drive to create motivation and continue to fight jointly and with passion for the "fascinating paper label".
