B&B publishes its 2024 Sustainability Report

With our new Sustainability Report 2024, we not only document our progress – we reaffirm our strong commitment to advancing sustainable development together with our employees, customers, suppliers, and partners. This report serves both as a communication tool and a strategic guide, supporting internal decision-making and continuous improvement across our operations.

The B&B Group is publishing this report voluntarily, prepared in reference to the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) framework. By doing so, we are proactively preparing for the upcoming requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The report builds a bridge between our first Sustainability Report (2021–2022) and our forthcoming fully ESRS-compliant report.

In 2024, we reached several important milestones:

  • 98% of our external electricity already comes from non-fossil sources.
  • We have achieved half of our 2030 target for reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.
  • The wastewater intensity per ton of finished paper was reduced once again – a key step toward reaching our 2025 target of below 7 m³/t.
  • Our employee satisfaction program has been successfully implemented.
  • We reduced our fluctuation rate of voluntary exits to 6.6%.
  • Our #nowresponsible initiative has successfully met all goals in supplier management and business ethics – proving that every step forward counts.

At B&B, sustainability is not just a goal – it is a continuous journey. That’s why we proudly stand by the motto from our very first Sustainability Report:

We take action #now.
